Shopping Guide: Go Green for St. Patrick’s Day

Getting into the holiday spirit this St. Patrick’s Day is as easy as going green. International shopping is the easiest way to find exactly what you want in this festive color. Read on to find out more about St. Patrick’s Day and what green merchandise to buy from all over the web.

About St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick was born in the 4th century in Britain. Around the age of 16, he was kidnapped and sold as a slave in Ireland. After a number of years, he escaped and went back to Britain, only to go back to Ireland as a priest. He introduced the country to the Christian church and spread his teachings over the next 30 years. March 17 is considered the day of his death, and is when the holiday is celebrated.

What began as a religious holiday, is now more celebratory thanks to the U.S. where the day is honored with parades and, of course, all things green (the color associated with Ireland’s landscape).
